In the hot blue flame of a torch, Bonny works colorful rods of glass into wearable works of art. Raised in the coastal and intermountain west, Bonny’s love and appreciation of the natural beauty of those areas shapes her craft.
Bonny was first exposed to glass and the art of beadmaking by a lampwork artist whom she met at an art festival in 2002. She was mesmerized by the glass and began imagining what she might do with molten glass…the endless possibilities of shapes and colors.
With a little luck in March 2003, she was able to set up her own glass studio and start experimenting, trying painstakingly to create with fire and glass what she had pictured in her head. Hundreds of mistakes, piles of glass, and endless questions were her school. Glass and hot flame both humble and amaze Bonny.
Bonny now fabricates torchworked glass beads and sterling silver to create one-of-kind art pieces for you to enjoy, wear, and treasure. Her creations are both whimsical and beautiful.
